STS-94 was the twenty-third flight of Columbia, and a re-flight of the STS-83 Microgravity Science Laboratory (MSL) mission. The STS-83/MSL mission was cut short in April 1997 due to a fuel cell problem. MSL featured 19 materials science investigations in 4 major facilities.
