Her career feats on STS-63, STS-84, STS-93, and STS-114 include being the first woman to pilot the Space Shuttle, the first woman to command a Space Shuttle mission, and the first “Return to Flight” mission flown after the tragic loss of Space Shuttle Columbia during reentry.
