We’ve never seen this photo before! Official NASA 8″x10″ 105E-KSC-266-1/7 taken on January 21, 1966, in the middle of the Gemini program, with James Lovell, Fritz Widick, Wally Schirra, Don Cromer, Tom Stafford, and Alan Shepard. Lovell, Schirra, and Stafford had already flown one Gemini mission each.

Dr. Forostenko led a Russian language team at NASA’s Astronaut Office to prepare astronauts to communicate with cosmonauts during Apollo-Soyuz, working closely with both crews as instructor-interpreter. Signed by Stafford.
