The Ringleader (Original)
Welcome to the artist’s hypothetical planet, Ringleader, one of his earlier attempts at astronomical art. Like Uranus in our own Solar System, it’s tipped over so that its rings are nearly perpendicular to the plane in which it orbits. Here you have a view from a moon in a polar orbit. Such an orbit occasionally affords spectacular views when the planet’s rings are seen face-on in all their glory.
Acrylic on 13.75”x23.25” Board.
