Ancient Newborns (Original)
Inspired by the Pleiades star cluster, although it does not show the classic configuration of that star cluster. The painting shows seven very young stars that are still close to their birthplace, a stellar nursery. They still have an aura of cosmic dust and gas leftover from their genesis. Although they are young in terms of their eventual lifespan, they are already ancient in terms of our human scale of time.
The shooting star in the painting would not normally be seen in a view like this, but it represents a memorial to someone who tragically left our earth before their time. They now live on in the cosmos of this artwork.
