FORMED BY IMPACT OF LARGE METEORITE!
Tektites form when meteors collide with Earth, and the material ejected from the impact crater is heated and fused into glass. Our tektites are from the Australasian strewn field, estimated to have been caused by an impact 790,000 years ago. Each black tektite, approximately 0.4″-0.8″ long, comes in a 1.75″ diameter plastic display holder. Includes 2.75″x4.75″ card with info & map of strewn field.
