From NASA Apollo-Soyuz Russian Language instructor-interpreter Anatole Forostenko’s personal collection.
This US Postal Service American Commemorative Panel, #442 in a series, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Apollo 11’s successful Moon landing on July 20, 1969, includes a mounted block of four 29-cent First Moon Landing stamps designed by Paul and Chris Calle, issued in Washington, DC, on July 20, 1994.
Original shrink-wrapped package with 8.5″x11.25″ stamp panel and backing card.
Dr. Forostenko led a Russian language team at NASA’s Astronaut Office to prepare astronauts to communicate with cosmonauts during Apollo-Soyuz, working closely with both crews as instructor-interpreter.
