Bicentennial Souvenir Stamp Sheet, Set of 4


Set of four 10.5″x8″ souvenir sheets celebrating America’s Bicentennial, affixed with 8″x6″ stamp sheets, each with five stamps perforated from an image of a famous painting of a key event in America’s founding, and postmarked First Day of Issue, May 29, 1976, Philadelphia, PA. Back lists details of the stamp sheet and painting.

The four events depicted in the paintings are: The Declaration of Independence; Washington Crossing the Delaware; Washington Reviewing His Ragged Army at Valley Forge; and The Surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown.

Note: The back of each sheet shows some brown discoloration around the edges, in varying degrees.
