Assorted Space Booklets, Set of 4

From astronaut Gene Cernan’s personal collection.

LIFE magazine Prelude to the Moon…, 9″x12.5″, 42 pages of full 2-page LIFE magazine photo spreads with brief history/context; USPS Man Is His Own Star…, 8.5″x11″, 10 pages, US Space stamp images with histories, plus two Soviet and two US Apollo-Soyuz actual stamps, postmarked First Day of Issue, July 15, 1971, Kennedy Space Center; NASA EP-102 Apollo 17 At Taurus-Littrow, 9″x12″, 32 pages, lots of photos and descriptions from the mission; and NASA Spinoff 1976, A Bicentennial Report, 8.5″x11″, 104 pages, status of tech spinoff programs from NASA’s Technology Utilization Office.

NOTE: EP-102 suffered lots of water damage (while at Cernan’s) along lower margin, with loss of paper, but text and photos still enjoyable; Prelude has some cover wear and lots of shallow bends throughout, but images are still fascinating; Spinoff cover has wear and creases; USPS in very good condition.
