From NASA Apollo-Soyuz Russian Language instructor-interpreter Anatole Forostenko’s personal collection.
1998 US Postal Service 6.9″x8.5″ binder has a spiral bound, 14-page story for young people about a boy’s sightseeing tour of the stars, embellished with colorful artwork and brief “Stellar Facts”, plus a strip of five Space Discovery stamps depicting what it would be like to live on another planet, that can be mounted in the book with included plastic holder. Also includes an envelope with holographic stamp of a space station.
Dr. Forostenko led a Russian language team at NASA’s Astronaut Office to prepare astronauts to communicate with cosmonauts during Apollo-Soyuz, working closely with both crews as instructor-interpreter.
