From astronaut Jim McDivitt’s personal collection.
Jim McDivitt carried a number of 6”x4” American flags aboard Apollo IX as commander of the first manned test flight of the entire Moon rocket system, including the lunar module, in Earth orbit, 3-13 March 1969. We have only a few left from Jim’s collection! He signed each flag and endorsed it “Flown on Apollo 9”.
