Apollo 12’s Alan Bean greatly admired his close friend and mission commander Pete Conrad. Kim Poor photoshopped a paintbrush into this photo of Bean, so Bean could use an artist’s trick to “measure” his comrade, seen reflected in Bean’s visor. Bean signed & inscribed “Taking the measure of a great man” in silver.

Framed with a 3″ embroidered mission patch, set in a black suede matte.
