Mercury 6 Messenger Bag

This useful messenger bag, with its retro space appearance, is just the thing to celebrate John Glenn’s historic flight of Mercury-Atlas 6 on February 20, 1962. Glenn, aboard his one-person Mercury capsule, Friendship 7, became the first American to orbit the Earth.

Now you can carry your essentials in this polyester/nylon bag, reminiscent of the Mercury astronauts’ silver space suits (complete with black seat-belt straps to keep your supplies firmly secured) and the black exterior panels of the Mercury capsules. The bag is emblazoned with a Mercury 6 mission patch on the outside of the flap, a NASA “meatball” logo on the shoulder pad, a USA Flag patch on one end, and “United States” stenciled on the reverse face.

The main, zippered compartment includes a padded laptop/tablet sleeve with elastic strap over the top, with organizer pockets on the outside. The messenger flap has a small zip pouch on the outside, and securely covers the insides with a buckle closure. A top handle provides easy grab-and-go access and convenient hanging. The crossbody strap is adjustable from 14-25″ drop.

The exterior is 17x12x3.5 inches, and the laptop/tablet sleeve is 14x9x2 inches. Weight 1.5 pounds. 70% polyester / 30% nylon. Hand wash with damp cloth and mild soap to clean surface stains. Lay flat to dry. Imported. Ages 14+
