CERTIFICATES OF AUTHENTICITY
We issue a certificate of authenticity with each purchase of an
astronaut-autographed piece, but as you may know these are just
pieces of paper unless backed up by someone substantial. Anyone
can print up a certificate of authenticity and many folks think
it is some sort of legal document, which it isn't. Our certificates
are so highly regarded, however, that they have been known to be
forged themselves!
Elegant Archival Museum Framing
When you purchase a genuine moonwalker-autographed photo from Novaspace,
the best way to preserve it is to have us archivally frame it for you. Indeed,
it is better to have your photo in OUR custom framing than to do it youself
or get "stock" standard sized frames in wood or cheaper metal. It is better
NOT to have your photo framed at all than to have it in substandard framing,
which will eventually damage it.
Novaspace Moonwalker Photos
Novaspace's staff of artists and computer photo experts work long hours
restoring these precious images of history, not only removing the imperfections,
but often with the direction of the astronaut pictured, make improvements to
the color, removing lens flare, digitally removing the ranging marks (the crosshairs
seen in all moon photos), increasing detail or contrast, and sometimes digitally
repainting parts of missing or distorted photos.
The astronauts applaud our efforts, and often ask for a copy of the retouched
photo for their collections (which we are happy to give).
We then print the finshed works to Fuji paper, more costly and superior to
Kodak in longevity and color. We print on pearl-finish paper without margins
or borders, resulting in a larger, more elegant picture, without glare, which
holds a signature better than gloss finish.
